Scribblings from work

Today, I thought I'd show some rough scribbles that I did on my break at work. I often think of events in comic form, with Bitter Bunny replacing myself.

Bitter Bunny features quite prominently in my doodles, probably because he is so easy and fun to draw. At the bottom of the image you can see me trying to figure out how to do a walk cycle for him that doesn't look ridiculous. Bitter Bunny exists very specifically in 2 dimensions only, and the placement of his legs make walking a little difficult to do well. His legs are also quite short, but I can get around the difficulties posed by that with selective squash and stretch. His ears are often an indication of his emotions, much like the tail of a dog. When animating him, there is a lot of fun to be had with secondary action there.

  1. I feel ya, Craig. Work sucks. Luckily, my job has become so absolutely brainless I can let my mind wander for 8 hours. I'll often put that thinking time to good use and work out some story ideas. I've actually come up with some good stuff over the last few months.
