I hate women...

They're just so frustrating.

All those curves and that female attitude.

They're sooo different than men.

I have such a hard time trying to draw them.

What? What did you think I meant?

Anyway...this is Mérian, one of the main characters in my story. I literally spent my entire day off trying to come up with an appealing design. I'll spare you the horror of the early attempts.

In this drawing, she is in her "adventure attire." I still have to design some fancy clothes for her to wear at the beginning of the story, but that will take some time. I'm not so great at fashion design. I'll leave that stuff to Derek --> http://www.derekcardigan.blogspot.com

Also, in the interest of stepping it up a notch, I'll now include some sweet action poses of the four main characters in my story:

Again...I'll admit to using Star Wars for inspiration. However, one of these poses I came up with all by m'self. Can you guess which one? I bet you can't.

----------

You know what? I'll even throw in some sketches while I'm at it, just for fun:

So there you have it...

That's all I got.

For now.

So BRING IT!!

p.s. I hope y'all like the new header. That's the idea I had from the beginning.

  1. These are fantastic! I especially like the last image. I'm assuming that they're all in some type of a fighting stance. I like how she is the only one fighting without a weapon.

    Go girl power!

  2. Matthias' stance is the one you came up with like a big boy!

Nice post, great pictures and excellent use of formatting.

  4. Havlock Holliday kinda looks like Steve!

When you said inspired by Star Wars, did you mean Clone Wars? I actually really think the character design of that show is realllyyyy good. I don't actually like it as a 3d show but whatever.

    PS: LOOKS GOOD TODD!

  5. It is me Derek. Todd and Bryan are the others.

He means the 2D animated Clone Wars. He doesn't like the 3D one at all. I personally think its pretty good but I still do not understand why it was done twice.

  6. Thanks Derek...when I say inspired I meant I referred to some of the sweet Jedi action poses for my characters. I'd like to get one of those little poseable artist models, but for now Star Wars and How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way will have to do.

  7. And I wouldn't say these characters are you guys completely...more like I took your essence, boiled it down, added some ingredients of my own, and came up with my own gumbo.
